Log Cabin Dinner - May 15, 2016

The Illinois Club Cabin Dinner was the fastest sellout event since I became President. Reviews from people that previously attended group functions held there raised my level of expectation. There is an old saying that, “if something is too good to be true, it probably is”. That sure wasn’t the case as 30 club members enjoyed a splendid dinner last Sunday prepared by our host Elaine Williams.

To say that the building was unique would be an understatement. This was a very spacious and comfortable rustic log cabin, but with cleverly disguised modern amenities. The dining area, complete with several long tables, reminded me of holiday dinners held at Grandma’s house. The winning combination of company, food and setting could not be beat. Many more pictures will soon be available on our website.
